A merry little fort among the vines... Surely the perfect metaphorical representation of Saint-Emilion! Its history in the Bordeaux landscape goes back to ancient times, when its legendary vines were planted by the Romans. The terroir in this region produces exceptional wines. Bacchus, the god of wine and vines, would have been happy here. No doubt he casts his benevolent eye over the oak barrels of Fortin Plaisance, giving the wine its rich tannins, intense aromas and the exquisite balance characteristic of the appellation.
