We do love some good Irish whiskey, and The annual release of The Irishman 12 Year Old are always dependable expressions! This is the 2021 edition, which has been triple distilled and drawn exclusively from first-fill bourbon barrels. The result is a full-flavoured single malt, packed full of character. A release of 6,000 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Honeycomb and toffee ice cream, with a sprinkling of diced almonds. A hint of toasted brioche, too.
Palate: Roasted nuts, spiced walnut loaf, a little bit of milky coffee, diced apricots and juicy peaches.
Finish: Lasting sweetness of caramel, with a crackle of cassia in the background.
