Gin Sharish takes its name from the village of Monsaraz (sharish means xara, jara, or cistus). “Mont Sharish would mean a mountain built in a cistus forest, later giving rise to Monsaraz”, explains António Cuco. In Sharish Blue Magic we can find strawberries, fresh raspberries, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon, angelica root, ginger, licorice, coriander seed and juniper. The difference to normal Sharish is the flower called Clitoria Ternatea which gives the Gin a blue tone without the need for the use of artificial colorings. According to the producer, this Gin will have a “magic touch”. When tonic water is added and the liquids are mixed, the blue will be transformed into a light pink.
