Food Pairing: In terms of food pairing, the structure and finesse of the Pavillon Rouge make it a superb companion to classic, savoury dishes. It complements roasted or grilled lamb chops, beef Wellington, braised veal or game meats, where its refined tannins and rich fruit enhance the savoury flavours, as well as duck breast with berry-based sauces or hearty stews.
Description: Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux is an exceptional expression of a Bordeaux second wine that, in this standout vintage, approaches the quality and complexity of its illustrious “grand vin.” The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot, showing deep garnet colour and a refined aromatic profile of dark berries (blackcurrant, blackberry), cedar chest, wild thyme, spice, smoke and subtle floral hints. On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied with velvety tannins, balanced acidity, layered fruit and an elegant, lingering finish.
