The moon doesn't simply just keep our tides working and act as a place to harvest cheese once we've run out. It's helped to influence all manner of people to create excellent things, from music and paintings, myths and legends, and even gin it seems! Inspired by a moonlit evening tending botanicals in the hothouse, Hendrick's master distiller Lesley Gracie has made Lunar Gin, a warming, spicy expression well suited to sipping while in the evening. Subtle peppery sparks, fragrant citrus oils and floral wafts abound here.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Softly peppery, with lavender, hibiscus and rose giving it a solid floral core.
Palate: Spicy but mellow juniper, lemongrass and rosewater. A touch of orange flesh develops in the background.
Finish: Cardamom, vanilla, orange once again, lemongrass.
