Filliers Dry Gin 28 Bottling Note
Originally created in 1928 by Firmin Filliers, Filliers Dry Gin 28 also uses 28 botanicals in addition to juniper. It is a small batch gin created in copper stills.
The Filliers family had been producing jenever, gin's ancestor, in Belgium since the 19th century and adding gin to their repertoire was perhaps the next logical step. Today, their gin is still made with a secret blend of citrus fruits, herbs and roots.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Lemon and orange peel support the juniper. Hint of cardamom and fresh coriander.
Palate: More citrus alongside the central juniper, slightly creamy, drying.
Finish: Warming and dry.
