Description: Produced by winemaker Jochen Dreissigacker, fermentation was with wild yeasts over a four-week period and the wine was aged in stainless-steel tank to retain its fresh fruit aromas and food-friendly acidity. Dry, medium-bodied, it is fragrant with ripe apple, pear, honeysuckle and citrus zesty with a long finish on a flinty mineral note.
Since 2001, when Jochen Dreissigacker pressed his first wine, he has achieved a lot. In 2005 he took over the family winery in Bechtheim and has been managing it with organic certification since 2007. Today, the 42-hectare Dreissigacker winery has achieved a world-class reputation and stands for an impressive portfolio of powerful, finely mineral, elegant wines. The independence of the wines was the goal for Jochen Dreissigacker right from the start. Riesling and passion were the way. With the belief that only healthy and strong plants can withstand the constantly changing weather conditions, Dreissigacker invests most of his work in cultivating the vineyards in Bechtheim and Westhofen. The result is natural and unadulterated wines with an unmistakable character, which reflect the peculiarities of their respective location and have been developed in such a way that they have particularly good aging potential. Jochen had the newly built winery built in the middle of the vineyards in such a way that there are perfect conditions for the single-vineyard wines to mature longer in the barrel and in the bottle, and thus to bring out their respective character even more and at the highest level.
