Description: Sancerre Blanc La Villaudière comes from the assembly of 47 plots facing south-east.
These Sauvignon Blanc vines are 30 to 40 years old on average and flourish on a set of terroirs composed of 65% Caillottes (limestone), 30% Terres Blanches (Kimmeridgian marls) and 5% Silex (clay-siliceous).
The harvest is carried out at optimal maturity and the grapes are transferred to the press by vibration. After a long pneumatic pressing at low pressure, the juice flows by gravity from the press to the vat in order to avoid handling the grapes and juices. This is followed by a 12-hour cold static settling (deposit of suspended particles) and then alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
This wine will be aged in stainless steel vats for 5 to 7 months on its fine lees to give it aromatic richness. It will then be clarified, stabilized and bottled by us at the estate.
From the vine to the bottle, everything is done to respect and reveal the quality and expression of our terroirs.
Its clear pale yellow colour with golden reflections reveals an expressive nose combining floral scents, white peach and exotic fruits. The harmonious and frank palate combines freshness, substance and minerality.
