Description: Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a classic Bordeaux from the prestigious Pauillac appellation, classified as a 5e Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. This vintage is predominantly a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend (about 68–75 % Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc), showing the hallmark structure and intensity of Pauillac yet with elegance and precision. It presents a deep, bright ruby colour and on the nose delivers ripe red and dark fruits like cassis and cherry, complemented by subtle spice, violets, cedar and fresh mineral notes. On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied with firm, ripe tannins, balanced acidity and savoury, structured flavours of dark fruit, tobacco and herbs — a wine with good ageing potential over the next decade or more and well suited to decanting before service
