Bladnoch Alinta Bottling Note
Smoky single malt from the Bladnoch Distillery here, dubbed Alinta, after the indigenous Australian word found in several Southern Australian languages for "fire" and "flames". You can see the connection there – smoky whisky, "fire". This expression was drawn from a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, making for a richly-flavoursome whisky.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Dark chocolate, roasted almonds, a touch of heather honey.
Palate: Still smoky and nutty, with cinder toffee and cassia developing.
Finish: Sweet smoke lasts on the finish.
