Description
The Champagne Brut by Barons de Rothschild is an excellent, great and complex sparkling wine from the French wine region Champagne, vinified from the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties.
In the glass, this wine shimmers in an elegant gold tone with bright golden highlights. The perlage rises to the surface in fabulously fine bubbles and creates a persistent mousseux. The nose is pampered by a great bouquet. Intense aromas of pear, almonds and fresh hazelnuts unfold, perfectly complemented by notes of white flowers and light brioche accents. On the palate, this French sparkling wine presents itself with a lively prelude, wonderfully round and with elegant power. All these components underline the unique straightforward character.
Vinification of the Baron de Rothschild Champagne Brut
The Chardonnay grapes for this sparkling wine come mainly from Crus of the Côte des Blancs Grands and Premiers - the Pinot Noir grapes mainly from Verzenay, Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay and Ambonnay.
After the base wine has been cuvéed, the second fermentation, the Méthode Champenoise, begins. This champagne matures on the yeast for about 36 months before it has been degorged. After degorging, this sparkling wine remains in the wine cellar of Champagne Barons de Rothschild for another 6 months before it leaves the winery.
Food recommendation for the Brut Barons de Rothschild Champagne
Enjoy this sparkling wine from France well chilled as an inviting aperitif. But this champagne is also a treat for lightly fried scallops, crustaceans as well as stonefish, risotto and fresh brie.
