Auchentoshan Dark Oak Bottling Note
Release for the Travel Retail market in 2019, Auchentoshan Dark Oak enjoys its maturation in a combo of Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry and bourbon casks. The result is a triple distilled single malt packed full of stewed fruit and warming Christmas spice notes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Heather honey, chocolate ice cream and spice fruit compote.
Palate: Intense wafts of raisin and dark chocolate bitterness, followed by soft whiffs of fresh barley.
Finish: Fruitcake, coffee bean, lemon and a hint of dried oak.
