Nero d'Avola shows a pleasant ruby red color, more or less intense depending on the type of vineyard, its position and aging. On the palate there is a taste with hints of berry, cherry and plum. In the best areas it also has spicy and balsamic notes.

Perricone is a native vine that has always been present in the western Sicily area. This variety, in fact, has been cultivated for centuries between Palermo, Trapani and Agrigento. Wines produced with Perricone can give great satisfaction, especially after a certain period of aging. Generally, the nose gives off a complex range of spices, where juniper and black pepper are its main components.

Frappato is an ancient black grape variety native to Sicily, whose precise origins are still unknown. Some writings assume that it has its roots in the Iberian Peninsula. It is known for sure that in 1600 it was already present in the Ragusa area, where it was indicated with the term “frappatu” or “frappato” which means fruity, a salient characteristic of the bouquet of this wine.

Today it is found throughout Sicily but is essentially cultivated in the provinces of Syracuse and Ragusa. These areas are the ideal cradle of frappato since the soils are mainly characterized by sandy, clayey and calcareous soil.

Vinified in purity, it offers a wine with a bright ruby red color, clear and transparent. The aromas are intense, delicately vinous, fruity and floral. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with crunchy aromas of red fruit, pleasantly fresh, harmonious, savory and mineral, with soft and balanced tannins.
